The Rev. Cliff Acklam was the Minister for the linked parishes of Torphichen and Avonbridge until 4th July 2010, when he translated to Argyll. After 10 years of service at Avonbridge and Torphichen, our Minister, Rev Cliff Acklam has accepted the call from the North Knapdale Parish Church of Scotland linked with Glassary, Kilmartin and Ford Parish Church where he is due to be inducted on 24 July at 2:00 pm in Tayvallich Church. Members may be aware that at its June meeting Presbytery discussed the translation of Cliff to the Presbytery of Argyll and the forthcoming vacancy at Avonbridge and Torphichen. However, as a result of the recent General Assembly decision about reductions in the number of ministries, all Presbyteries have been instructed to review their Plans. Because of this, the vacancy process has been put on hold until West Lothian Presbytery Plan has been reviewed. Members will be kept advised of progress as and when it happens.
